Application Process

Newton International College offers 6 intakes in an academic year. You can submit the application any time, and our marketing executive will reach out to you for more details.

  • The completed application form
  • Transcripts for the most recent three academic years
  • One copy of your Diploma if applicable
  • Copies of your passport and visa
  • Guardian’s consent form (under 18 years)
  • Homestay application form if needed
  • Custodianship declaration if needed
  • Immunization information if needed
  • Precious IELTS (or any English evidence of your English proficiency) result if applicable

Students are required to complete an English and Mathematics assessment after the Official Letter of Acceptance is issued. Course selections in our school system for newly arrived students will depend on the results of the assessment tests and follow Ontario Ministry of Education requirements.

We conduct online interviews for students who are unable to conduct physical interviews. Students are required to have the relevant equipment to ensure smooth network and camera quality.

General Questions

Small class teaching In order to ensure the quality of teaching and attention to each student, Newton’s class size is set between 12-15 students.

100% of our students have gotten accepted into universities, 80% of them have received an offer from the University of Toronto.

Most of our graduates went to the University of Toronto, University of Waterloo, McMaster University, Ryerson University, etc. We also have students going to universities in the U.K and U.S, such as UCLA, Manchester University, and Bristol University.

Newton International College is offering 6 intakes in an academic year. The main entry months are September, November, March, June, July, and August.

Newton offers “English as a Second Language (ESL)” programs, which are intended for students whose first language is a language other than English or is a variety of English significantly different from that used for instruction in Ontario schools. Students in these programs have age-appropriate first-language literacy skills and educational backgrounds.

 

In the ESL program, there are five courses that are based on levels of proficiency in English. Depending on learners’ previous experience with English, students may be placed in ESL Level 1(never studied English), 2, 3, 4, or 5. The course code of these 5 levels is from ESLAO TO ESLEO.

Once you make payment, you could apply for a student visa using a receipt and letter of acceptance. 

Yes, all of our teachers are Ontario certified.

Yes, we cooperate with third-party to cover health insurance for our students. Health insurance is necessary for all international students. 

Yes, we provide host families for students. For more details, please check out the “Discover -> Our Residencepage or contact us directly. 

Students under 18-year-old require a legal custodian. Custodianship is provided by request. 

Yes, as of October 2021, you could travel to Canada if you have a valid study permit. For more details please consult the school. 

The answer is no. It is the policy of Newton International College that all students who are vaccinated must attend onsite classes effective Thursday, September 9, 2021.

Newton International College has a very good health protocol to ensure that all students and staff are safe from the CO-VID virus. The following measures are enforced: all staff and students must always wear a mask, complete the health screening process before entering the building, and have their temperature taken, students are kept at 3 feet apart in classes, all facilities are sanitized, students are encouraged to wash their hands often, and students’ health is monitored daily by classroom teachers.
